High Protein Frozen Yogurt Bark

This is the snacky dessert of the summer for me. It's literally like having a yogurt bowl, but way more fun. Grab some greek yogurt, and your toppings of choice and get on it!

This recipe is your inspiration to create the ultimate summer dessert, which is an excellent source of protein AND other nutrients. I don't know about you, but enjoying and eating things that are also good for me makes my soul and mind thrive.

This is a GUIDELINE!!!! You make this how you like it and enjoy it. So if you don't like chocolate, you can skip it, but otherwise, I highly recommend that you do add it.

High Protein Frozen Yogurt Bark Recipe

Yield: enough to last until it's gone

  • 1 Cup plain greek yogurt

  • 1-2 cups berries or any fruit of choice

  • 1/4 cup crunch

  • A couple heaping tablespoons of nut butter of choice

  • 1/4 cup melted chocolate chips

Optional yogurt mix ins

This is totally optional, but adding these mix-ins to your yogurt can be a great way to switch it up. Because trust me when I say this will become a weekly treat you want to have on hand.

  • canned coconut milk

  • Cocoa powder

  • maple syrup

  • Jam

  • Melted chocolate/nut butters

Fruit Suggestions

  • Strawberry, blueberry, banana, mango

Crunch Suggestions

  • pecans, peanuts, almonds, dried fruit, granola, etc.

Last but not least

Do not skip out on these!

  • peanut, almond, or cashew butter, and melted chocolate!!

Method

  1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and spread out your greek yogurt into a thin layer. (if you are adding any mix-ins to your yogurt do this and then spread it)

  2. you guessed it, top your toppings of choice. I recommend starting with the pieces of fruits, followed by the crunch elements.

  3. finally, add the nut butter and melted chocolate and finish with a little crack of salt. (optional but highly recommended)

  4. Store in freezer until you need a little treat!

  5. I recommend taking it out to thaw for 5 minutes before you bite into it or microwave for 10-15 seconds so it's just soft enough to bite into! Happy eating:)
